Help with budget phone

Hi there! I'm looking for a budget phone to suit a teenage girl, that could be used in Australia. Hopefully Samsung as the Mrs and I have Galaxy S4's, but not essential. I thought about the Samsung J1, but read some reviews and I think I'll steer clear. Any thoughts? TIA!

I'm running a Huawei P8 Lite (runs ~$250 retail unlocked) and is a dual sim phone. It may be worth a look. It won't show up on the top of any gotta have lists, but I'd say it punches above its class for the price.

A lot of younger people I know use the Galaxy Trend, so I think it should be good for your daughter. I imagine it's fairly cheep nowadays also as it's two years old. Here are the specs if you haven't seen it yet.

Another one to check out is the Huawei SnapTo. It runs about $160ish. Not quite as capable as the P8L, but it still offers a pleasant experience for the price.

Not sure what's available in Australia or what the budget is, but the Moto G or Moto E are the usual budget phone recommendations.

That 2GB-RAM version of the new Moto G is comfortably within the range - and sounds like one hell of a device.

Heck, I kind of want one now.
