Hi
I am wanting to connect the activesync to my works exchange. To connect to the exchange server, i need to enter an address that is similar to www.domain.com:82. As soon as I put the colon in the exchange server address, the next button greys out.

Has anyone found this or found a solution??

Thanks

There is no solution for not default Exchange port. You can try to use a 30days trial the 'TouchDown' software.

I am using exchange on my GS. Here is how we have it setup...

First make sure that Remote Web Workplace is setup on the server (rww.server.com). This will bypass having to use the colon and port number setup.

Then on the GS your exchange settings should have your domain\username
password
exchange server = RWW.server.com

Check box in Use secure connection (SSL)

Check box in Accept all SSL certificates

Click next and your DONE!

Hi Bnas,
So what if the OWA and RWA is using not default (80/443) port?

Are you using SBS 2003 or SBS 2007? Also is it standard or Premium?

Have to install the ISA server for the SBS?

Here is a link to Microsofts RWW setup site....
Enable and configure the Remote Web Workplace

Follow the instructions then click on the "configure advanced Remote Web Workplace Settings" link at the end.

Follow those and you should be set.

Bnas,
He uses NOT default http, or https port (80/443) for remote access. It looks that OWA/RWA is redirected on the NAT (firewall). He is asking how to change a port.

p.s. what is SBS 2007? ;-)

I meant SBS 2008. Small Business Server.:p

His question is moot. As you cannot use the colon PORT number feature on the galaxy S exchange setup. At least I couldn't anyway. So the Outlook Web Access (OWA) will run under RWW, Remote Web Workplace and set the address to rww.server.com
