Help with failed Text Messages?!

So I send a message and there is no signal, the phone texts me back to say it failed, thats all good and well but why doesnt it just wait until it can send the message and send it?

I thought this was basic stuff my 4 year old phone does this, seems a little odd android doesnt think to do this. Anyway is there a way to tell the phone to do it itself?

well the message comes back saying failed, doest say its trying to resend so i dont think it does

check that the number is correct, I had this problem with my groups, it would tell me it didnt send to 2 people. When i checked there number they had put it in as 44 instead of +44 and it would not send.

you can turn on the notification when you send. Go to the messages app, press menu and scroll to the bottom where you can turn it on...

does this with multiple texts in one go too. PITA. Although it does resend them individually
