Ok here is my question, im looking to buy a phone cause im moving from CA, to France. I will be with Free mobile there, they have a UTMS 900 2100 for there 3g. Im looking at a phone that says it supports wcdma 900 2100 3g, will I be able to use this in France, will it work ?. Im very confused about UTMS, WCDMA, I don't want to buy a phone that wont support it, any help would be great ????.

You're fine: WCDMA 900/2100 = UMTS 900/2100.

The distinction is subtle: W-CDMA is the underlying technology used in a UMTS network. For this purpose they are both referring to the same thing.

You should be fine, just make sure that whatever phone you get is SIM unlocked since most US phones come locked to their carrier. If locked, it will prevent you from using a French SIM card.

Thank you, thank you, great information, one last questions, what about this HSDPA 850 / 900 / 2100 will this work also ?
