yes, sorry about that JFalls63, I´m a bit cloudy with all these terms. But I did it with both versions of ODIN and same error as before (attached).

I found this in a thread about the NAND fail:

I had the same problem until 5 minutes ago and you can solve it by:
Going to
-Developer options-
Allow "USB debugging"
Uncheck the "Veify apps via USB" box

The thing is I don´t remember ticking or unticking this option, and obviously now my phone doesn´t boot to be able to uncheck it.

Can there be a way around?
 
next step I´m taking while I wait for a new ROM to download is to untar the ANC and BTU ROMs and tar them back again file by file in the order they appear, and flash them one by one to see with which file it crashes.

The question is: if I get stuck in the middle, with 2 or 3 files being flashed, but come up with an error on the 4th....and I disconnect the phone....what can happen?
 
Not sure, your getting into things I've never had to try before. I'm still digging around XDA trying to find something useful.
 
thanks man, I´m not giving up on something that turns on and connects to Odin and Kies hahaha.

Even though I´m sorry I might loose the bucks I paid for it, there´s no price for the knowledge that one gains while going through all of this....and it might even help someone in the future.

So...I´ll keep at it.
 
Until recently I've had the belief that if you can get it in download mode you can fix it. Yours is the second i9300 in the past few weeks to challenge that. Other fellow had the "Pit File not Found" error with Odin. I've always liked S3's,lots of support from mods and parts easy to find. Probably be the only Samsung device I won't get rid of. I'll keep looking and post back if I find anything useful.
 
I read that this mounting problem may be that the partition is corrupted. Do you reccomend flashing a PIT file?
I would be using this one: GT-I9300_mx_20120220.pit

Do I need to flash the Rom immediately after the pit, at the same time, or do I need to do something in between?

Has anyone had any experience with NAND erase all? I read so many that say it solved their problem, but so many others saying it´s a death sentence.
 
I don't think flashing a Pit will hurt,just gotta make sure its compatible with your phone memory. 16 gig memory needs Pit File for 16gig.

Never fooled with Nand erase so don't know how to advise.

that includes the option of ¨nand erase all¨ in post #3...I know I should follow instructions to the letter, but I understand flashing PIT only required the PIT box to be checked.

I´m now at a stage where anything I do might completely brick it.
 
btw, do you know what this sentence means in that thread? (post #3):

<Check the phone bootloader update, and efs clear checkboxes once device is recognized.>
 
From what I've read Pit needs to be flashed with firmware. I would try method in last link.

I'll hang with you till you give up.
 
Failed instantly after I hit START :( (attached is image of what was checked and loaded)

Disconnected phone, went into download mode. Nothing changed, I´ll write it down since I never put it here before:

Went into recovery mode...same failed to mount red errors as before.

Tried with ODIN V.1.85 and at least now I get an error....failed to re-partition.

Download mode and recovery mode are still ¨working¨ as before.

If I can´t even re-partition the phone...

I remember seeing it, but no idea if it was on or off.

As to the thread, I´ll give it a good read tomorrow. I ticked NAND erase all with the last flash attempt in ODIN, so I´m guessing that the error is R/W on my phone.

Since it happened from one moment to another -and with no flashing or messing around tweaking from my part- then SDS of eMMC is probable.
I just don´t wanna give up yet. But yea, already lost all hope of retrieving pics and contacts. Gonna sleep on it. Gnight buddy.
