Help with HDMI connection

I don't think you can, as I don't think the ZTE prestige has the ability to output an hdmi signal through its micro USB connector.

Chromecast would be a better option

Many phones used to be able to use an MHL adapter to connect microSD to HDMI. My Samsung S3 needed an additional 5-pin to 11-pin microUSB adapter. But I heard that new phones no long support MHL, since there are various methods to cast over WiFi (like Chromecast or something on Smart TVs).

It's a choice of the hardware manufacturer if they include the hardware required to do this... So at the budget end of the market, this isn't usually done for cost reasons... As you say, now that there are alternative methods of screen sharing there is less demand for this feature in mid and higher end devices.

If your device doesn't have it, then it's not something you can retrofit later
