I have a Samsung Galaxy S5. I don't currently have a lock screen set up but want to. When I try to set up a lock it ask for a password but the password I used isn't correct. There is no way to reset it. How can I reset the password with doing a factory restore?
you can't if you don't know what it is now.
is the phone registered with Google Device Manager online?
if so, then you can regain control of it from there.
