Help Help with misbehaving clock app; Nexus 7

Hey guys, the Nexus 7 that I purchased for my little sister a few months back got the 4.2 update and since then the clock app started crashing somewhat frequently. She'll get a message "Unfortunately Clock has stopped working" or something like that.
Apparently now it is happening every couple of minutes. Any ideas?

Go to Settings>Apps>All Apps

Open the clock app and select clear data.

I know it sounds like a joke, but when this starts happening to me (and it gets really annoying when it's every 5 seconds!) I turn mine off and turn it back on again, and it stops it happening.
