I used MyBackup to backup all my photos, apps, etc, on my old phone, saved to the external SD card. I've reinstalled it on my new phone but there's no backup. I also did a backup with App Backup & Restore which I then installed on my new phone but both apps are telling me there's no backup found. How can I restore all my stuff?? Old phone was Epic 4G Touch. New phone HTC Evo LTE. Help!

help with MyBackup

What is in the folder rerware/MyBackup on your sd card? Also look in MyBackup's options to make sure that the "Backup Location" corresponds to the name of the backup folder on the SD card.
ok, i found the backup on my ext SD, it's in the folder called rerware/mybackup. but when I click to restore it tells me there's no backup found. I see the folders in the there but it's not letting me do the restore. Am I missing something?
You've checked that the folders aren't empty? And that the backup location in the app is correct, remembering that all names are case-sensitive in Android?
I've managed to replicate the problem, so maybe this will help you.
What I did was I cleared data for MyBackup (using the system settings). Then when I asked it to restore a backup it couldn't find anything. Entering the full path of the backup directory still couldn't find anything! But when I went into MyBackup's options and just set the backup location to "/sdcard" it's now able to find my backups again. So try that and see whether it works.
