Help help with new HTC Widgets

Sorry guys for being stupid. But i can't for the life of me figure this out.
there are a few new widgets (or at least new to me after update).

Task
&
Sand timer

I went to "get new" and then downloaded both (plus, updated two i already had, Notepad and Battery)

but once i download them i can't find them to put on my screen???

i remember i had trouble before finding a new downloaded widget but finally figured it out. this time i can't. what am i doing wrong?

the battery and notes should be in your normal widget list. As far the task and sand timer goes I can get it to download but it wont install. So dont know whats up with that.
the note pad will take up one whole screen page.

Notes & Battery i've been using for a while. those are in the regular list. But at one time we had to download those also. and it worked.


but same thing. I can download the two new ones but they don't install. Or if they do i can't find them. I know sometimes they hide in "settings" but not this case.

Weird though ??????

P.S. i have even re-started a bunch of times to see if that was it. No luck...
