Got my new phone last week, love it...but noticed a strange icon on the top left corner of my phone this morning (along the status bar). Looks like a backward arrow with a line through it. Can't find an explanation anywhere in the user manual that I printed. Any ideas?

I believe you've disabled your phone's notifications. Pull down the notification drawer, scroll through the toggles along the top (to disable bluetooth, mobile data, etc) and there should be an option for Notifications. Enable it and the icon should go away.
