Root help with optimus zip

as of now i cant find a rom for the optimus zip from straight talk which is the same base phone as optimus slider and q does anyone know if i could use a rom for the slider or q thank you and if so tell me how im a noob i am rooted though

Man im having the same damn problem...and ive done EVERYTHING! I lost my imei and bricked my phone trying to flash a Optimus Q rom..so dont try that. Can anyone help us?

Most roms that are native to your phone require to be ext 2 or ext 4 filesystem wise otherwise when flashing you will have problems.For ones not native you have to manually edit the libs and sub folders to make equivalent to forementioned

No, you can't use a rom for the Slider/Q on the Zip. But I have been working with the folks at AndroidArea51 on getting us a port of AreaRom for it. It will take some time though, as those folks do it in their spare time.
