help with phone sound

Whenever i try to turn my phone sound down it is set on media sound

If you mean the volume you hear during a call, you turn that down when you're on a call. (There's only 1 volume control - what it controls depends on what the phone is doing. If you're listening to a movie or video, it's the media volume control.)
