help with phone

[Android Question]

when my phone is off charge I will hit the sleep button, the screen goes black like it suppose to but like 1 minute or lass later the screen pops on and stays on until I hit the sleep button again but the screen comes back on. but when its on charge it don't do that, when I hit the sleep button it stays black till I click the button.

Does anyone know how I can fix this or what the problem is?

It's either a hardware problem or you have a running app that is creating excessive "wakelocks." There's not much you can do about hardware issues except return the phone for service. To rule out software issues, I suggest installing the free Wakelock Detector app. Configure it, reboot your phone, then blank the screen. Let it run for a minimum of 15mins (reblanking as needed), then check results. If you find anything running that is consuming double-digit wake percentages, then you can probably tame it with Greenify (now works for unrooted phones as well). If Greenify doesn't do what you need then you'll either have to root your phone (which will open the door to other options) or consider uninstalling the troublesome app.
