Root Help with replacement Triumph, please!

So I just ordered a new Triumph as a replacement. I wanted a new one because the one I have now is beat up, it's been my driver for about a year. In fact, the reason I picked today to order was because my warranty ends on the 20th of this month.
How can I check that every last thing is working?
I remember I ordered a refurb Optimus V once, and it worked so well. But when I'd flash a custom ROM, the ONLY clocked CPU setting it liked were 600 MHZ.
Is there some type of apps I can use to check the mics, antennas, blue tooth, texting, screen accuracy, screen color.
Any and all help will be appreciated very much.

You "ordered" one? From where- VM?
If you're warranty was going to be up soon, you should've just told them that the charger port is bad, and they'd send you a new one.... or at least a decent refurbished one. And believe me, they don't question you about your Triumph not charging, they'll just send you another one.

I told them my charger port is not working, usually when I'd get new warranty Optimus V's, they'd say "Okay we're sending you your refurbished phone", when I ordered this one they only said "Your phone will be shipped."
Since I told them my charger port wasn't working, I can only hope they'll send me a brand new one.
I hope it gets here before Friday, because my warranty is up on the 20th, and I know I won't be able to get another after. Unless they're very kind, I have been with them 3 years ago so I'm going to be very upset with them if they don't allow me another Triumph after this Monday, of course only if the one I'm getting is defective.
The one I have now has zero problems, except for a weird digitizer problem. I just want a new one to last me another year till the next gen Nexus comes out.

Makes you want to keep sending the phone back under warranty just before it expires for eternity...stick it to the man! ;)

Oh my god you're a genius.
I wonder if my warranty stays even if I leave the company..
I'm switching to the Google S4 when it comes out in June.

My charger port died as well, and I had about one month left on my one year warranty. They would not give me a new phone- even a lesser model... even though I argued that my wife and I have been VM customers for nearly ten years now.....all they were willing to send me was a refurbished Triumph. I've had it for a few months now with no issues, and it actually worked better than my older Triumph.

Whenever they send you a new phone, you get a new 1yr warranty

Not in my case. My charging port stopped working on my 2nd Triumph 6 months in. At first they said they would replace the phone no problem but then transferred me to someone else to handle the process and told me I did not qualify because the warranty ran out. I was f'n pissed. They were unwilling to send me a refurb. Nothing! Nada.

I told the the bitch to f off and went with another carrier and a much nicer phone with the latest Android version, get unlimited everything, and download speeds 10x faster (no exaggeration)... And only pay $5 more a month. I don't miss the Triumph at all. What a pain in the ass that phone is. It was a great phone on release but it's really a POS on a crappy throttled network at this point in time.

What I find strange is the port suddenly started working right after I threatened to leave VM. Coincidence? Hmmm.... I left anyway... The 3G speeds are just too slow anyway... barely getting 1mbps down. I never realized just how slow until I made the switch...

VM needs to take care of their old time grandfathered customers because they just lost one. I'm not picky when it comes to cell service. I really just want to be treated fairly. I would have stayed with VM and kept the Triumph if they actually honored the warranty. But there are much better options at this point in time. They kept trying to get me to buy a new phone. But really, the S2 is the best they can offer me? Even metro offers the S3... Give me a break. Oh offer me the sh*tty S2 and then have the balls to say you need to charge me another $5.00 a month for it? FU you f*ckers! So much for loyalty these days...

VM seriously needs to lose the attitude and stop thinking they are the best deal out there because they aren't anymore. FU VM. Go rip off someone else with your crappy network and bullsh*t phones.

My new Nexus 4: WTF!!!

First, congrats on the Nexus dude! I wanted that phone really badly.
Secondly what carrier did you switch to?
I'm planning on hopping off VM and going to T-Mobile and getting the Google Galaxy S4 with the 30 dollar 5 GB LTE, 100 minutes, and unlimited texting plan.
If you are on that plan, you must be as excited as I am for them to fully roll out their LTE completely by the end of Summer, eh? ;)
I can imagine the smile on my face as I go to bed with HSPA+, and wake up with LTE in my notification bar.

Why I'm leaving Virgin?
They f'd up big time, for some reason, after I swapped phones, all of a sudden in my area my texts won't send anymore. Reason unknown. I've swapped back to the other one, still there.
So I called, what did the out of country customer service rep tell me?
I "needed to ditch my grandfather plan so that I can be updated with their newer system"
I told him off and asked "So how come everyone else doesn't need to switch plans huh? Only me?"
After an hour and a half with another guy, texting was fixed for a while, now my problem's back.
Not only was what the guy said a disrespectful lie to me, but it bothers me that some people might actually be caving into what he said and getting off their grandfather plan.

With that said, I think I'll be happy with the beefiest phone on the market on probably the best carrier in my area for only 5 dollars more. Hehe!

Yeah man, VM needs to seriously train their people better and focus on customer loyalty and training. Makes decent deals with them and take care of them. They are think they are ATT or something treating their long time customers so poorly.

I went with Straight Talk but I'll give it a month before I fully commit to a certain carrier. I can't switch to T-Mobile because of the limited mins but so far ST is working out just great with the speeds you see above. I really need the unlimited minutes though. I really can't complain about anything so far. I mean the speed is overkill for my uses. The phone gets updates straight from Google itself like crazy (which is obviously a super luxury since the lonely bastard step child Triumph never got 1) and I never have to worry about hacking it or all that bullsh*t. Battery life is excellent too. I'm getting that wireless charger thing too because the Triumph has made me so paranoid...

I think everyone dealing with the Triumph and all it's bs should switch if they can spring the cash for a new google phone. They aren't cheap but neither was the Triumph on release...

Yeah no kidding, I already had my mind on T-Mobile but I think you're right about the straight talk thing first then switch. I'm really going to miss my minutes, but oh well I'll see if i can compromise. My eyes are peeled for the Google Galaxy S4, it topped every other phone's camera except for the PureView, and it's the speediest phone on the market. And the Google updates thing, I'm stoked as heck to see "New Firmware Update" in my notification bar. Oh boy oh boy!
Too bad I have to wait exactly a month for it's arrival :(

Yeah how awesome is it to actually get updates without installing a hackified version of this or that and hope you don't break the phone in the process.

That sh*t gets really old. But in the MT's case it's a necessity to actually use the thing with wanting to smash it from day 1.

The updates and support is the best thing about these Google phones. Honestly, I never expected the Triumph to be abandoned like it did and never get a single update from VM or Motorola. I mean for a $300.00 phone to never get an update and be stuck on Android 2.2 forever? If I knew that from the beginning, I would have never bought it. That is just plain wrong and both companies should be embarrassed...
