Help Help with returning my phone back to Android 2.1 from 2.2

Hi I was wondering if anybody knows how to revert my phone back to stock 2.1 from 2.2? I just updated it the other day and am having a lot of problems with the 2.2 so I want to switch back. If anybody knows how and could help it would be greatly appreciated.
