Root help with rooting htc desire hd

Hey guys first time posting on here I've successfully down graded the phone to 2.3.3 with aahk but now stuck it runs into a error after trying to install busy box ill will post up after I get home just wondering if any one had trouble like this and can help me cheers

what kind of error were you getting?

did the aahk complete the process,making you s-off,superCID,and install a recovery?

so you are still s on. the aahk was prolly at the point that it would install the exploitable downgrade radio and firmware,as youre allready on the downgrade build.

the aahk is no longer supported. youre on your own for official support,if you decide to continue.

having said that,make sure nothing is operating on the PC that can comuincate with the phone(htc sync,pda new,easy tether,i tunes,etc) and try a few different usb ports or cables. you can even try a different PC. in short,make sure the PC environment is as described in the effin manual.

and if you are 100% sure your phone SHIPPED with froyo,you can use this guide:

but you have to be sure- downgrading to a froyo hboot on a GB shipped device may leave you unrecoverably stranded :eek:
 
can this be caused by cheapo micro memory card ? or previously creating a gold card before this using the tool??

I do not believe so... But ill admit I've no why the aahk is hanging right there. You can certainly try a different card if you like :)
 
Well now the radio downgrade fails I've tried different USB and different pcs and now it's say gold card fail onrush not 100 ill just give the manual you gave me a go or if you know what's happen help but ill try the other way frist cheers

that error is not a big deal. sorry to say ive no idea why the aahk is ot working. just post on one of those threads if you decide to try one of the manual methods :)
