Android Question

Hello all,
the screen on my Samsung Galaxy mega 6.3 got totalled so I ordered a screen replacement and replaced it. all was well for a few days then the screen started going black when I'd press on the top left corner.

My question is: is it possible, if I bought a new mega 6.3, to flash copy the entire damaged phone and copy it to the replacement? Like when cloning hard drives?

If both phones have custom recoveries installed, yes. That usually involves unlocking the bootloader and flashing a custom replacement for the standard recovery module - it's something that people would normally do when rooting the phone. Beware that you would need a method that would let you install the recovery without wiping the handset (which unlocking the bootloader often does), or else there's no point doing this. The process may also be regarded as voiding the warranty on the new phone.

Otherwise there are ways of backing up apps and data (to Samsung's servers, Google's servers, or using an app called Helium which can back up and restore most of this stuff on an unrooted phone), but none is an actual image backup. Heck you could just use Samsung's phone data transfer app to copy stuff from one phone to another, but some setting up would still be required.

Of course it's possible that your current problem is nothing more than a loose connection on the new screen.
