Help with SD card issues

Hi folks, this is my first post so be gentle with me.

This one is on behalf of my dad who has had an android eclair for his birthday. I have managed to get it working to a fashion, the main reason for it was to be used as a book reader, I had absolutely no luck with the aldiko premium that was pre-loaded on it, whenever I tried to import books it just kept saying that there were no books found. Anyway so I removed it and downloaded the free version of aldiko that I use on my tablet and when I try to take the books off the SD card they do not appear to be there, I have checked the SD card on the PC and the files are all there. I have tried the SD card in my tablet and the books copy over no problem.

Any ideas would be brilliant so that I can get Dad's prezzie working properly

only 2 of them, the rest are not there even though when I check on the SD card they are there (if that makes sense), when I put the SD card into my device it works fine but not on my dad's, have tried another SD card and that is doing the same, saying that there are no EPUB's.

tried to format it, still not working arrgggghhhhh need to do something before my mum starts fiddling with it and totally screws it up!!!!

What is the file path to the books you have on the card.

I'm using the free version and the path is:

sdcard/eBooks/"author"/"book title"/.epub

will give that a try, tried copying the file info from my SD card but that's not working so I'll try your suggestion
