Root help with sgs brazil version

[lucas1317]

Hey guys, I just bought my SGS a week ago and it's been such a dramatic improvement over my ugly nokia lol.
I'm wondering though, has anyone flashed the Brazil version with a custom rom? I'm from Argentina and carriers here never release updates...
So, if anyone has flashed the SGS I9000B or has any info regarding the topic it'd be much appreciated.

Oh!! And someone should make an app for the forums so they're more comfortable to browse. That would be cool lol

There's a phandroid app. Search for it in the market.

As for custom rom, be careful. I think there are i9000b compatible Tom's out there, but most custom roms won't work.

I did, can't use my phone now... so i can't really recommend, stay with the stock 2.2 provided by KIES.
