Help with SMS restoration.

[gkwelding]

HTS Wildfire S, running stock Sense at the time of backup and Android 2.3.5 I think. From within the stock messaging app I had the option to back up the SMS and save them on the SD card. I did this.

A little root later and CM7 is on there running happily. Now I'm trying to restore the SMS from the backup I've become unstuck... The default android messaging app supplied with CM7 doesn't have an option to backup/restore and none of the backup/restore apps on the market seem to want to touch the backup file I have.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

I have exactly the same problem. Did you manage to solve it? I am looking for an upgrade or downgrade of the message app. I will post any updates. Cheers
