Help with storage capacity

Hello,
Looking for some help. When updating apps I get "insufficient storage capacity" message. High on my listed apps is my "mail" app at 15. MB. I have deleted all my emails and it still states 15. MB. I am hesitant to delete the data because it states I will also lose all settings.

So my question is how do I free up space to allow for updates and other apps?

You can either lose some older apps or root bsteckline, I believe even you emails will stop coming through once there is a shortage of space!

You forgot to mention which device you have?
There might be specific tricks available for your device.
