I see that is ready for a sim to use as a phone, but where the hell do you stick the sim card?? not the sharpest chisel in the box when it comes to this so go easy on me........

Bob

does it need an add-on I.E a dongle to plug the simcard into, or the like, as there is no slot to slide a sim card into, only the TF slot....

anyone?

The original ZT-180 tablet doesn't have embedded 3G or phone support so there is nowhere to plug a sim card in... only a place to plug a TF/Micro-SD for added storage... There is support for a Limited number of 3G Dongles but you'de need the Dongle and service... There are later variants using the X220/ZT-180 like the Flytouch2 and Haleron's Droid10 that come with different features... maybe if you provided a link to the the tablet you purchased we would know better what you have and be able to provide better help?

as in the usb internet donle things? as you would plug into a laptop? for mobile internet? not so much bothered for mobile net, just to use tablet as a phone if need be..... not really up on the techy stuff as you can see.....

just ordered a Huawei E1752 from Orange in the UK, and happy days I might be able to use my contract sim in it, should be here tuesday, so we'll see how we go with that, Its not for permenant mobile internet, just if I'm out and about in the car, my nokia screen its too small for surfing easy.....

has anyone tried using a 'mobile internet' in one of the dongles with a tablet? the operator wasnt sure and couldnt guarentee that my phone sim would work, as my phone contract has unlimited internet on it.

well the dongle came, its lighting up as if its connected to 3g (single flash every 3 secs) there are 5 bars showing on the status bar on the tablet (no X present) but when you try to dial out it cuts off immediatly, I have enabled the evdo in settings, is there something else I have missed, do I need to d/l a driver for it, if so where from??

someone help me pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease................:(
