Root help would be appreciated

i changed my original mms.apk to the ics one and it wont let me send picture messages. i made sure to put the permissions of the .odex and the .apk to rw--r--r. Any help ???
 
Did you replace the apps in system/app? Didja remember to rename them to the correct layout? Did you mount the partition as read/write?
 
Also, where did you get the ICS one, if it isnt from another Metro build then it wont have the correct settings for the network stuff (I cant remember exactly what they are called).
