Help HELP!! Xperia X10 charging and force close issues

I have had my Xperia X10 just about 15 months. About 11 months ago, something happened and I am now only able to charge my phone on my laptop or PS3. I have tried several different plugs in my automobile and home wall jacks, but with no success.

Also, about a week ago, something happened, and several apps have started force closing, and i cannot download any apps from the market, because it force closes, also.

I have have the 2.1 firmware update, and 2.6.29 kernel version, if this needs to be known.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Have you tried clearing the cache and data from the market?

Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> All -> Market -> Clear Cache/Data.

If it still happens, it sounds like a candidate for a factory reset.

Regarding the charging issues, my GF's phone has similar problems, it will only charge from a certain charger (mine). It sounds like an issue with the charging circuit or the charging port. Are you still under warranty?

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately, I am not under warranty any more.
I tried clearing the cache for the market, and am still getting a force close. Looks like I'm in need of a factory reboot.

Having the exact same problem with mine. Have had it a little longer- it started with getting hot, restarting, and couldn't make calls or get texts. Then they would pile in a few days later. Now it won't charge except with my headphones charger. And force closes all apps that didn't come on the phone. And even some of those! Not helpful I know, but it's not just you!!
