You can use a USB type C to type B adapter such as this:

Stick your memory card in there and then into the bottom of your phone. Then use a file explorer app such as Solid Explorer to move your files onto you internal space or sd card.

Define memory stick please...
its another name for a thumb drive.
you can also use the computer to transfer files such as photos from one place to another.
or a type c adapter:
usb type c to usb adapter
