I can't seem to get my alarm to work! Or even any alarm app!!! This is my first smartphone but I know how to work a flippin alarm!!! I'm using my OLD phone as my "backup" alarm. We bought two Android Desires at the same time, same store, etc. Neither one is working. When I test the alarm, it works. It IS on AM not PM. It is NOT on silent. It is NOT on vibrate. For almost two weeks I have been using a "backup" alarm after being late the first day. Yesterday I went to the cell store and they showed me that my "advanced task killer" had the clock checked off. Bam! That HAD to be it! But noooo, this morning, the alarm did NOT go off!! It doesn't even light up, does absolutely NOTHING! The phone SAYS the alarm is on, it has the little alarm icon in the task bar and flashes a message: "alarm is set for 7 hours from now" but it does NOT go off in the morning!! If I set it from 5 mins from now...it works!!!

Please help!

First recommendation... remove ATK! In my opinion it's counter-productive and does not provide you any tangible benefit. After uninstalling ATK, reboot the phone.

Next try setting an alarm for 1 hour in the future. If it works, try 4 hours in the future. If that works I'd try 8 hours in the future. I don't know that ATK is the culprit but it's certainly a suspect...
