Hi, I signed up because I thought it would be a good tool to use if I ever had any questions arise with my phone. I recently purchased the HTC ARIA, from AT&T. I like it a lot, but I'm currently having an issue. I have the settings on for vibrate, but when I receive a text message it doesn't vibrate. It doesn't do anything. It worked fine before, then just stopped working. If I change it to another setting, it works fine, just not for vibrate. I even went to the at&t store and asked the clerk and he said all my settings are correct, and to call at&t up and they could swap out my phone. I"m just checking here to see if anything comes up before I have to get a new one. Thank you.

If you go into the Text Messaging app, you can hit the menu button and to go options. Here you'll find separate ringtone/vibrate settings for your text messages.
 
I know this is going to sound like a silly question but have you rebooted the phone lately? Sometimes phones/apps get weird and need a reboot to clean things up.
 
yep, i turned it off and on again, a couple of times. i appreciate the help but i think i need to call up and get a new phone. i hate getting a new phone, everythings gotta be a hassle.

I suspect that would be the prudent thing to do under the circumstances...
