I have My Touch 3G phone (slide one) and somehow lost my phone numbers of my contacts that are stored on the phone memory. Is there a way to retrieve them?

all is not lost if you sync'ed them with your google account... that's the only way i know of....

Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to hear that. However, there are ways of possibly retrieving your contacts. I'm not quite familiar with your device settings or features, but let's see if any one of these steps will work.
(1. Open people/contacts application - tap menu then import/export - choose import from SD card - import contacts to phone.
(2. Log into your Google account via pc - click on contacts - follow steps to retrieve your contacts.
