I have an admire and I have two questions. First, doesanyone know what a folder labled DCMI is. It has thumbs from my gallery in it. Is this folder dedicated to the gallery only or is it for sumething else? Second, i have a SD manager that removes temporary internet files and other trash. It is supposed to remove *.apk from the SD but when i run itw, it sayes that my SD is clean. well, iwas looking around and i found some *.apk in some app folders. Is it ok to delete these or are some *.apk needed? This phone is new to me and i am trying to learn all i can.
 
Hello and welcome to Android Forums. The DCMI folder by default is the area where your pics are saved. There is a choice within your camera app to change where you want those files. Many will create another DCMI folder on their SD card and then set that folder as the default pic save area. As for removing the *.apk files from your SD card... here is a link to a thread here on the subject:
