I`m thinking of buying a galaxy note but am worried about losing my apps and music from my iphone....is there any way round this?

The iphone apps won't work on an Android phone.

I believe that music purchased from iTunes may be copyprotected and cannot be used on Android, but I am not sure because I have not bought anything on iTunes. All my music were purchased on CD which I have copied onto iTunes; I can freely transfer that music onto my phone.

You drag & drop music from your itunes folder onto your SD card in your phone. For apps you start again, but download appbrain & fast web installer, then apps will push to your phone. Quite a good selection of apps on market / appbrain :)

ITunes music purchased before 2009 are copyright protected. Difficult to transfer, not impossible. Use Double Twist and Air Sync on market to transfer non-drm protected music.

For protected music, burn to cd first, then back to pc. When I put my daughters music back to pc, I put them into my Windows Media Player, as I find editing tags easier. Then I connected her phone and transferred by usb.
