Help !

Hi ppl,

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3.

i added my work email address example "aaa@abc.com"

i also created a gmail account for the samsung account.

but emails that goes into my "aaa@abc.com" will stay in the inbox for a while then will suddenly disappeared and can be found in my gmail account.

i did not do anything and it will automatically be transferred into the gmail account. and my "aaa@abc.com" inbox will be empty.

I tried remove the samsung account and all the emails that comes into my "aaa@abc.com" email stays.

The moment i add the gmail in, everything goes into the gmail account after a short while.

Please help!

Thanks
Dennis

What email app(s) are you using if I may ask? I wonder if when it was set up if you have one email address pulling from the other or one pushing to the other somehow.

I know some people intentionally set theirs up that way. think you turned it on by accident.

Hi,

It is the Email app inside the phone.

what do you mean by the "one email address pulling from the other or one pushing to the other somehow." is there a way to turn it off??

thanks

You can set some email apps to go out and look for email messages on another email account and pull them in. You can also set some email apps up to automatically push (Forward) their messages to another email account. The former is more common. I don't know if that is the issue you are having or not but it does sound like it.

I no longer use the default email app on my phone so I can't go into my settings and tell you how to check yours. Perhaps someone else can?

Another possibility is you may have some sort of corrupted app. You might also try to clear the cache on your email app to see if that helps.

Go into settings/application manager/your email app. Clear the cache there and see if that helps. Might have to reboot after doing so.

I just set email to only update when I initiate the action, and it's very easy to keep multiple email accounts updated. I don't care for pushed email outside business though so I do let it push to me.

Just so you know most phones have multiple email apps. The default one that comes with the phone is just called EMAIL. My phone also came with a GMAIL app too. I think the GMAIL one only works with gmail email addresses though. the one marked EMAIL supports different types of email accounts.
