I have a samsung galaxy grand quattro and if I click pictures I can view them in the gallery for a few days but after that they disappear from the gallery but are still in the dcim folder...please help

So you're still seeing the filenames in the DCIM folder, but Gallery is not showing the pictures themselves? Quite possibly that's a duff or fake SD card. There's been a couple of posts recently with music MP3s behaving in a similar way. Turned out it was fake SD cards from Ebay. If it is a fake SD card you've got, those pictures are not recoverable.
