Android Question

Hi

I am wishing to exchange my phone at CEX in the UK and was advised that the custom rom must be removed and restored to stock. I have no problem doing that.

However my only worry is that if they find out that it has Clockworkmod Recovery installed they may devalue the phone which is in perfect condition.

I was wondering if there is anyway of hiding or removing CWM.

That Phone is SONY XPERIA U on 3 network. It has Jellybean rom installed.

Thanks

I believe that if you can install the stock ROM, it should also remove the command/renames the file(s) that retains your custom recovery.

IIRC, check in /system for a file named recovery-from-old.p to see if it has been renamed. If so rename it to the above and your custom recovery should disappear.

good luck
