is there any way to factory reset a htc sensation my partner is now using it with his sim but when it came to texting me it only brings up my number not my name I tried deleting it and entering it but for some reason at the top off my contact list is my number n no name and I cant delete it

Hi theo2013. Welcome to Android Forums. I don't own a Sensation but I think the HTC's are the same. Go into your settings via the option in your app drawer. Click on Storage. There should be an option to Factory data reset the phone. Be certain you have backed up all precious items on the phone.. for they will be wiped clean.
