Have received notification from O2 and this triggers an envelope icon on top left of screen. If you pull down envelope notification appears - it is not readable in full as far as I can work out, and in addition when you press clear it does clear briefly before the icon reappears and the message icon on the bottom of the screen shows a 1, even though there is no new messages.
