So I though it was silly but if you disable locations by holding it down, it will disable both locations and GPS, not one or the other.
If you use the bar widget that has wifi, bluetooth, locations etc and disable locations from the widget, it will only disable GPS and not the other location services.
Maybe you guys have worked this out another way but this is good for me as I use locations and rarely use GPS.
Anyway, if you don't then this may help you in saving battery life.
