I recently purchased an Lenovo A1000 tablet, and everything has been working fine. Last night I turned it off completely so the alarm wouldn't go off on my day off. However, the alarm did go off, and now I can't shut it down! It's been ringing for a little over an hour, the screen is on, but black. I have home buttons, but they won't work. Power button does nothing, and volume buttons do nothing. Any ideas?

Well, i thought it was commonly known that alarms will go anyway, but perhaps not. If holding the power button doesn't boot it or do anything, maybe try plugging it in and booting or holding the power button and one of the volume buttons at the same time...? Not sure...

Finally got it shut down by finding the reset hole. It might depend on the system? My phone won't turn itself on from off for any reason. In any case, none of the primary buttons did anything in any combination. I'm just glad that I didn't have some super obnoxious ring or loud setting.
