What if.............

The Android movement barely started in November 2009. The only Android phones released were the Motorola Droid and Nexus One both running 2.1 and they were available on ATT, VZW, and Tmobile. And Google only decided to continue the Droid line and Nexus line where they would release updated Droid/Nexus lines similar to what Apple did with the Iphone by using consistent branding schemes like the Iphone 3G and 3GS . How do you think Android would do now and in the future?

oops, the amount of apps that we start with is already at 20,000 haha.

Disclaimer: I am not hating on the G1's, the Hero's, Eris, Moment's and all the other Android phones. haha. I love you all. :D

If that happenedd I wouldnt be with android right now. When my contract ended and no android about i would probably be using an iPhone right now. Ever used a gsm Hero btw? Fantastic phone.

Okay how about if the G1 launch was replaced with the Nexus one and Droid/Milestone. I think the G1 launched in 2008, right? So, lets say the first Android phones available were the Nexus and Droid models. I was wondering how these two phones would have faired against Winmo and Apple.

Would the development for the platform still be open? I would consider the phones maybe at their 2nd and 3rd generations. Right now, the draw of Android is the opensource potential, not necessarily the features yet.

Yes, it would still be open sourced. That is one of the main reasons why I jumped to an Android device. It's weird that some people say no they wouldn't...guess they don't like the Nexus or Droid series.

guess i would have a TP2 since im on sprint lol... why all the sprint hatin :)

Sprint hating is a fad. It is passing. ATT is taking that spot. Sprint is smart though, they let verizon and att duke it out and kill each others images while Sprint just sits there and looks pretty.
