Hero crippled after rooting & upgrading

Hi,
I was so happy when I upgraded my Sprint Hero (on a Platinumtel prepaid plan) from version 2.1 to 2.3.3. However, because I didn't flash the Google apps while doing the upgrade, I can't get any apps from Google Play, sign into my Google account, or use wifi. Probably there are more things.

Fortunately I can make and get calls, as well as go online but not with wifi.

I've tried to go back to flash Cyanagenmod 7 again, but it says there are no files to flash, even though I have them on the sd card, along with GoogleAppps.

I'm stymied. Any suggested would be greatly appreciated.

Ken

PS: This should probably be posted elsewhere but I'm a bit lost.

Thread moved to the root section. You can always grab the GApps and put them on your microSD card and flash them.

You can find the right GApps here: Latest Version/Google Apps - CyanogenMod Wiki . Just boot into your recovery, wipe your cache and Dalvik cache and then flash the GApps found in the above link. It might say there are no files because you have a corrupted copy of the GApps .zip file, so just grab a fresh copy and try what I said above.
