Hero in UK can't access some apps?

Scott

Newbie
I just spoke to a new [stock] Hero owner in the UK who's trying to purchase PhoneMyPC. He reports that it's not available in the market, and we suspect the same with some others.

Does anybody know, is there a problem with the Market for Hero owners, UK residents, or some combination?

Cheers!

I can't see it in the market in the uk. I think some apps are regional, so maybe you need to check that out.

Hello,

I have a HTC Magic on Vodafone UK and I can search for and buy PhoneMyPC, by SoftwareForMe.com, for $4.99.

Might have something to do with the N/W provider? Do you have a Google Checkout Account?

:)

We've discovered this is a Google bug and is not uncommon for new phones.

I am a member of the organization that publishes PhoneMyPC, and it is 'supposed' to be available everywhere.

It seems when new phones are rolled out, protected apps are not available until enough users complain that Google fixes the problem.

We are considering dropping Google's application protection in favor of our own, more reliable scheme.
