Hero multi-tap text input query

I find the full size keyboard keys too small so I've reverted to the Phone Keypad setting.

The query is how do I select a letter when the next letter I want is on the same key (Eg. Letter m and o in quick succession).....Without pausing or selecting it from the menu?

If you use the phone keypad, and you use multi-tap, you have no choice but to wait for a small time interval before you can press the same key for a different letter.

Certainly you want to use T9 if you use phone keypad, yes? Multi-tap only has a place if a word isn't in the dictionary, as it's painful to use.

Thanks for the response.

You're right, I only use multi-tap when the word is not in the dictionary...but there are also instances where the dictionary can't be turned on - eg. Google search widgets and pressing the search button from the home screen.

Guess I'll just have to live with it until I've saved enough words in XT9...
