Hero Root software enquiry

Hello All

I have an HTC Hero with cupcake (v1.5) software. The phone is currently unrooted. I am trying to root my phone but find it very difficult to get hold of the software. Either the website has been taken offline or I need to sign up to download software. Is there anyone who can help me out please?

From that site I need superuser.zip & cm-hero-recovery.img

If someone can point me to a website, or ftp the files and post the ftp url I will really be very grateful

Basically, the best way I've found to install the custom recovery image is with Flashrec. I have a walk through further down on the page for the entire method for flashing to MoDaCo Custom ROM 2.9.
