I just wanted to start a thread with some positive comments in it.

I love my HTC Hero for the following reasons:

Batterylife
Apps
Customizations
Sense UI
Facebook Contact Integration
7 Home Screen
We have root
We have Fresh Rom
We are getting 2.1
My plan is cheaper than most other carriers
Wifi Tether
Games
Gmail Sync


BOOYA!
 
Ease of use
Customization
Apps, apps, apps
Sleek design
Durable with a resilient screen and no need for a screen protector

I just flat out love my phone. HTC did a great job with it. Now if they could just get 2.0 or 2.1 out for us ... :)

Notification Light
Relatively easy onboard keyboard.....
Pandora and other Apps sound quality is wonderful
More accessories then Paris Hilton's Jewelry box.....

With 2.1.....and real Flash so I can stream my football games.....I am gonna be in heaven!

I love my hero because:
Let me count the ways...
Well first how much time do u have?
Well I just love mine, unfortunately I don't have time to tell you how much.
But I do like in particular what one post mentioned, that awesome notification light, what would I do without that darn light I tell ya, just being able to walk buy the device without touching it to see if I am being summoned.
Just so ya know I'm not a hypocrite, I really don't have time to tell you how much I like my hero, but I do like the large display, WOW I can see. See you would appreciate that like I do if you were also coming from the centro which I adored.
Anyhoo, like I said, I don't have time for this but I do like my hero.
Just know that!
 
I LOVE that you said battery life! I've found my hero to have as good of battery life that I would ever need. I love my phone, as do many hero owners. I am rarely contempt with cell phones, and I have no desire to switch anytime soon! :D
 
I'm only a Hero owner for three weeks and have cringed at all of the blasts about its poor battery life... but today, while teaching with the Raleigh FD, I spent HOURS on the phone, text messages, links for videos, Facebook messages, etc. when a medic unit in my home area was involved in a serious crash. My Tour would NEVER have survived that day of use!!! Never!! And yet I just now put it to bed which is where I'll be headed in a few minutes. :D

I sure hope this thread doesn't break any rules about forums since we're bragging on our phone instead of whining... :rolleyes:

the customization
HTC Sense
the music player lock screen function
the fact that any issue that came up this great community had a fix or work around within 24 hrs !!!!1!

I left my phone in a friends car today, and was without it for about an hour, it felt like an eternity, I was a nervous wreck without my hero. :p
 
I love it because its not Windows Mobile.

Well that and, Gmail sync, calendar sync, facebook and twitter integration, and the fact that it works. Thats a plus.
 
Mine just works and does what I expected it to do. I am having a blast. No lag here, no battery problems, no major issues. I think I have avoided any issues by reading the forum here and following instructions. Took a road trip and the phone just kicked ass! Looking forward to 2.1, the Dev kit is out already. Things are going to get fun soon.

I absolutely love the notification light. Custom everything! Oh yeah and everyone at work envy's my Hero, included those with iphones.

Yep!!!

A Fellow co-worker of mine purchased an Iphone - when I purchased the moment....after comparing the too, she was happy with her decision. I just switched to the hero. After playing with it for a bit, she has returned her Iphone and is considering switching to Sprint since her contract with ATT has now expired....
