Hesitantly switching from BB to Android

I was a longtime Moto user (v60, E815, Razr) and moved to BB Pearl on Verizon (they only had WE & Pearl back then) and then to Storm2 in Oct, 2009. I love my Storm2, but in my next phone I want a BIGger screen, faster browser/processor, & LTE. BB continues to drag their feet and lack technology upgrades, so I am moving to Droid in June when my NE2 is up. I am leaning towards the Bionic, but also looking at HTC TB...I am excited about what they offer, but also hesitant...I would like to keep my longtime email address at Comcast - I do not like to be forced into Google everything; it's almost an Apple mentality. I just hope that the new O/S (2.3 & 3.0) are made available for the Bionic and TB.

Both look like amazing phones, the TB is like an EVO on steroids, with more RAM, way more ROM, and a bigger SD to boot. I don't think you'll go wrong with either.

You can always use another email on android. You will have to make a gmail account that is tied to your phone, market purchases, and a few other things, but you can use as many other email accounts as you want on your phone. Apps like k-9 allow you to even have one inbox for multiple accounts(or view them separately if you want)

Welcome to the Android Forums!

While it's true that you can keep your existing email, please be aware that Comcast email can sometimes be challenging to configure. Their email system is a bit quirky so you'll need to do some research on how to set it up...
