Root Hey i1 geeks out there.....

I just bought my i1 and I love it. Well, except for a couple of real techy things. I made a ringtone folder on my micro sd. I put some rintones in it and, sure enough, I had my self-made rings to choose from. However, if the phone is plugged into the computer, the ringtone I assigned to Joe, let's say, reverted to the default ringtone. Is it possible to put all the ringtones on the root of the SIM card? Or maybe there's another resolution someone knows of.
Thanks in advance

First off, sorry you didn't get an answer sooner!

I know of no easy way to upload custom data on a SIM card, if it's possible at all.

If you're rooted, you could add the ringtones directly into the media folder with your other ringtones, which live in /system/media/audio. If you take this route, make sure the file names contain no spaces so that they display properly in Android. You'll also probably want to tag the files so that they have readable names in the system menu. For this I like to use MP3Tag.
Hope this helps :)
