Root Hey need help with barnacle

Having problems with connecting a device it shows barnacle but not in range when im two feet away no upload or download speed ether an am i sapost to have wifi on

Turn the Wifi on before starting Barnacle, it will do the rest.

I tryed it says waiting until wifi is disabled an then it says running but i must have configured it wrong can u tell me what i could of messed up

Did you change the settings? I gave myself a custom SSID, set a WEP Key, the Skip wpa_supplicant is checked.

How do i do the customs ssid

Just change our in the settings. That'sjust the name your Android will broadcast as a Wifi signal

From my experience messing around with a few wifi tethering apps on this phone (including Barnacle), it appears that it does not have the necessary hot-spot functionality for tethering to work. When I got the phone to produce a signal it was ad-hoc only, and not all devices will see or connect to an ad-hoc network. True access-point mode with NAT routing does not seem to work.
On my old Optimus M, I was able to get wifi tethering to work properly, that phone did have a functioning hot-spot.
I'm not sure what is needed to make this work on the M+, I've seen discussion related to a similar issue on another phone that it may have to do with the APN's.

Foxfi doesn't work either. Creates an ad-hoc connection only.
It's not the app, it's the phone.
