Hey!

Hello everyone! I am a new Android user. I have a Galaxy S II on the way in the mail. should be here by friday. I have ALWAYS had iPhones ever since they came out a while back. Recently my iPhone 4 was dropped and the top sleep button is boogered up so i decided, what better time to try out a new phone then now. I decided on the GSII and hopefully i'll like it. So we shall see!

you'll probably see me asking dumb questions or lurking around seeking answers. lol.

Awesome! Thank you for the clarification!

i've been trying to decide whether i want to get a 32gb micro SD card and a couple extra batteries just in case, but im worried that if i dont like it in 30 days, then im stuck with 2 extra batteries and a $35 SD card.

I'd hold off on the batteries. I've had mine off the charger with Bluetooth and Wifi on all day and still have 40% charge left. As for the SD card, if you get one. make sure it's class 6 or better if you're streaming media.

i dont think ill be streaming too much media at all.. mostly music or youtube vids or something. not really tv shows or movies unless im on a trip or something.

another thing, i hope my stock bluetooth system in my car is compatible with this phone better than my iphone 4 was...

What kind of car? It paired with my Mitsubishi Fuze system very easily.

2007 Nissan Maxima.

according to nissan the iphone 4 is supposed to pair up completely... but for some reason it wasnt. hopefully my car will like the droid better. lol. and if not, i've gotten used to not being able to use the bluetooth.

one more quick question. does the GSII have a feature like siri on the 4s? where i can say "Text john i will be late. send." and it will text him.

LOL, Android has had voice commands for well over a year. Here's the command set ... Voice Actions for Android

One other cool thing is to set up a contact named "calendar" with the mobile number of 48368. Then you can set up calendar appointments with voice commands like this. "Send text to calendar, Meet bob for lunch Tuesday at noon." and it will add an event to your default calendar for 12:00 p.m. Tuesday with the title "Meet Bob for Lunch."
