Good day to everyone here in the Android forums! Just call me Niku, and I'm from the Philippines.

My dad gave me a Samsung Galaxy Y for my birthday recently. Basically, I stumbled here in the forums to know some more stuff about my new phone and how I can maximize it through new apps and such (if anyone can recommend me anything useful, it'd be nice -- games, battery saver, etc.). Of course it would be a plus to get to know new people around here and learn from everyone. So please be nice to me~ Might prolly go around asking dumb questions; my advanced sincere apologies.

I'll do my best to be a decent and good contributor to the community still, especially as time goes by.

P.S. Can anyone enlighten me please about 'rooting'? >.< Sorry about being a dumb and a laggard at this moment.
