Hi all. Completely new to this. My Milestone is being delivered tomorrow.

If anyone can help then I would like to know the, say, 25 most essential apps to get (not just personal favourites but the one you cannot be without).

Sorry to tell you off on your first post, but have you even looked around this place? There are a good number of "must have apps" and "best apps" threads... You could also browse the app store sites, such as androlib.com and slideme.org.

I hope you'll have big fun with your new device!

Yes thank you. Most of those threads are for secondary stuff, Facebook, IM type of things and mostly express peoples personal preference or use of the unit. I am looking for advice on the apps that I will need for using the Stone most productively, system or configuration apps I should really put on there first before I start to play..

The thing is that it's a very subjective matter. Something that one person finds incredibly useful won't be useful at all to the next person. It's much more beneficial to ask for the types of apps that you're interested. As stated above, if you just want suggestions there are plenty of existing threads here and on other Android forum discussion sites.
